A New Chapter of Healing: When Purpose Meets Practice 🦋

By Jenn Robb, MSN, APRN, ACNP-C, FIM-P, FMP-C| Author of Warrior Mom Rising

Yesterday wasn’t just another day at work.
It felt like stepping into something sacred, something God has been quietly preparing for years.

I had the honor of working alongside a doctor who has been my personal physician for a long time. She’s walked with me through my own journey through the burnout, the migraines, the “I’m fine” seasons that were anything but fine. She helped me see what I now live and breathe: that true healing happens when we care for the whole person mind, body, and spirit.

I know that being a provider is part of who I am and who God called and equipped me to be. I’m really good at it, not because it’s easy, but because it’s in my DNA. God gave me discernment, compassion, and a deep drive to see people truly well.

There was a time when I thought I wanted out of medicine altogether. I was burnt out and frustrated with what medicine had become, too rushed, too reactive, and too focused on masking symptoms instead of uncovering root causes. Medicine is hard. People are hard. And there were days I carried the weight of it all home with me.

But then, I found functional and integrative medicine and my heart shifted. I fell back in love with what healing can look like when we slow down, dig deeper, and honor the whole person. It reignited something in me, a passion to help people live better, live healthier, and to optimize their health to love the life God designed for them.

I’m expectant that God is writing this story allowing us to build something together that brings healing to women and glory to Him. Two women who share the same heart for integrative and functional medicine both passionate about helping women take control of their health, find balance again, and live fully in the life God has given them.

đź©· The Women We Met Yesterday

All day, we sat across from women in every season of life.
Women entering new decades, wrestling with the changes of perimenopause.
Women juggling motherhood, marriage, work, and aging parents trying to be everything to everyone, while quietly falling apart inside.

One woman sat in front of us, tears spilling down her cheeks.
Her anxiety was overwhelming, and her voice trembled as she said, “I know I shouldn’t feel this way. I pray. I have faith. So why do I still feel anxious?”

We leaned in, offering her space to breathe and words of validation.
We reminded her that anxiety doesn’t make her broken it makes her human.
And sometimes, the bravest thing we can do is admit that our strength is running thin and let God meet us there.

📖 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3

She walked out a little lighter not because everything was fixed, but because she felt seen, understood, and reminded that healing begins the moment we stop hiding our hurt.

đź©· The Power of Presence in Medicine

As I watched throughout the day, I was reminded of what makes this work sacred.
I watched a physician lean in to her patients, really
lean in.
Several times, I heard her say, “I see you. I hear you.”

And those little words changed everything.

Everyone wants to feel seen and heard. That’s the beauty of being a provider. We get to offer that space.
It doesn’t make the job easy. In fact, it’s often heavy. We carry the burdens of those we care for. We sit with pain that can’t always be fixed and hearts that don’t always understand the “why.”

There are days when we see difficult patients, those who want quick fixes or instant relief. But integrative medicine isn’t about quick fixes, it’s about digging deeper.
It’s about refusing to settle for
“it’s just the way it is.”

Integrative medicine is about helping people on their health journeys, uncovering the root causes, rebuilding what’s been depleted, and walking alongside them as they rediscover hope, healing, and wholeness.

Because when you truly see someone not just their chart, but their story healing begins long before a prescription is written.

🦋 Where Faith Meets Functional Medicine

This is why I’m so passionate about functional and integrative medicine.
Because it doesn’t just treat symptoms, it seeks understanding.
It doesn’t silence your story, it listens to it.

Every test, every conversation, every moment of stillness it’s about finding the why behind what’s happening in your body.
Why are you anxious?
Why are you exhausted?
Why is your body holding on to weight, or why can’t you sleep?

Functional medicine is like putting puzzle pieces together until the full picture of health emerges not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually too.

It’s about creating space for women to breathe again.
To understand that the fatigue, the mood swings, the anxiety, it’s not all in your head. It’s your body waving a white flag, asking for compassion and care.

🦋 The Power of Integrative Healing

We saw women who wanted to lose weight, but more than that, they wanted to feel like themselves again.
We saw moms desperate for rest.
We saw professionals burning out under the weight of expectations.
And through every story, one truth echoed again and again:
They all wanted to live fully in the life God has given them.

Functional and integrative medicine offers a way to do that by helping your body function as it was designed.
✨ Restoring energy and metabolism
✨ Balancing hormones naturally
✨ Reducing inflammation and brain fog
✨ Supporting mood and mental clarity
✨ Building resilience through nutrition, movement, and rest

But beyond all the science, it’s about hope.
It’s about reminding women that healing is not a race it’s a relationship with your body, your Creator, and your purpose.

đź©· Mind. Body. Spirit. One Story.

As a nurse practitioner and a believer, I’ve learned that faith and medicine are not at odds, they’re partners.
Science shows us the
how.
God shows us the
why.

When we bring both together, transformation happens.

Healing isn’t just in the lab results, it’s in the moments when a woman looks up and believes, Maybe I can feel better. Maybe I can be whole again.

That’s what I want for every woman who walks through our doors to know she’s not broken, she’s becoming.

📖 “The Lord will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden.” Isaiah 58:11

🩷 A Warrior’s Reminder

If you’re feeling weary, anxious, or out of balance please hear me:
You are not failing. You are evolving.
You are not being punished, you are being refined.
And you don’t have to do this alone.

God designed your body with incredible wisdom and resilience.
Functional and integrative medicine helps uncover that design so you can restore what’s been depleted, renew your energy, and rise into the life you were created to live.

Because when faith meets functional medicine, miracles begin to look a lot like balance, peace, and purpose.

“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

🔥 Warrior Mom Truth:

You don’t have to hold it all together, healing begins the moment you let God hold you.
