From One Voice to a Roar: The Call for God’s People 🦋

Charlie Kirk was murdered yesterday in front of the world, and today I cried the whole way to work. Worship music played through my car speakers, but the tears wouldn’t stop. Not because I knew him personally, but because I know what he stood for, God, family, and country. The very principles this nation was founded on.

Charlie lived boldly. He believed in Jesus Christ as the only way to eternal life, and he wanted the world to know it. He wasn’t afraid to speak TRUTH in love, to rebuke evil, and to shine light into dark places. He died because he carried the light of Christ, and the darkness hated him for it. The darkness is afraid of the truth, because truth exposes lies and sets people free.

The weight of this tragedy presses hard, but it awakens something in me, our call hasn’t changed. God doesn’t call us to be silent, He calls us to be bold. “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9).

What I See in This Tragedy

1. Jesus is still King.
The grave doesn’t get the final word. Charlie is now with his Savior, face to face with the One he loved and served. The weight of this loss is sobering, but it reminds me that following Jesus comes at a cost. Peter, Paul, and countless others gave their lives for the Gospel. Charlie now joins that line of martyrs. And the torch is passed to us to keep speaking truth with courage, even when it costs us.

2. Erika, his wife, is now a Warrior Mom.
When the world talks about Charlie, most will remember the man on the stage. But I can’t stop thinking about the woman in the background. Erika, the wife who prayed for him, encouraged him, raised their two little ones while he poured himself out for the mission God gave him.

Now her world has shattered. She has lost her husband. Her children have lost their father. Yet, even in this devastating weight, there is hope: while their earthly father has been taken, their Heavenly Father remains, “a father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling” (Psalm 68:5).

And Erika, whether she feels it today or not, will RISE. That’s what Warrior Moms do. We don’t choose the battles that come our way, but we armor up and fight through them. She will be both nurturer and protector, comforter and warrior. She will raise her children to know their daddy’s legacy and their Heavenly Father’s power.

The Sacred Role of Wives and Mothers

We cannot overlook Erika’s role, nor the role of every wife and mom. Scripture is clear: the calling of a wife and mother is HOLY, set apart, and divinely appointed. In Genesis 2:18, God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” That word “helper” is the same word used to describe God Himself. He is our Helper. It is not weakness. It is strength, power, and divine design.

Mothers are the backbone of the family. We are the watchmen on the walls, the prayer warriors in the night, the ones who whisper over our children, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper.” We carry both tenderness and fire. We hold the line when the enemy comes knocking, because we know what’s at stake.

This isn’t small work. It is frontline battle work. And Warrior Moms, you were created for it. “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come” (Proverbs 31:25).

The Call for Us

Here’s what burns in me today: the lions must wake up.
Proverbs 28:1 says,
“The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.”

We were not created to be sheep who hide in silence. We were created to be lions who rise with a roar that shakes the darkness. Charlie’s one voice must now awaken a multitude. His courage must multiply in us, mothers, fathers, families, churches.

America was founded on God, family, and country. We cannot forget that. We cannot hand over the foundation of this nation to fear, passivity, or silence. This is the time for the Church to roar. For Warrior Moms to roar. For families to intercede and call heaven down to earth.

It’s time to wake up, Warrior Moms. It’s time to pick up the armor of God (Ephesians 6) and step onto the battlefield. It’s time to fight for your children, for your faith, for your nation. Not with hate, but with holy fire. Not with weapons of the world, but with prayer, bold truth, and the Spirit of God burning inside you.

My heart aches for Erika and her children. The weight she now carries is immeasurable. But I believe God will equip her, just as He equips every mother who feels like the weight is too much.

So today, let’s honor Charlie Kirk by choosing BOLDNESS. Let’s honor Erika by standing with moms everywhere who carry heavy loads. And let’s remember, while earthly fathers may be taken from us, our Heavenly Father remains. He is constant. He is faithful. He is enough.

Warrior Mom, this is not the time to shrink back. This is the time to rise up. To put on your armor. To roar with the truth of God. To flood heaven with prayers. To intercede for your children, your family, and your land. Because the darkness may rage, but it will never overcome the light. “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5).
