You Are Not a Burden. You Are Not Alone. Your Life Matters. 🦋

Today is World Suicide Prevention Day, a day I wish didn’t have to exist. I wish suicide didn’t take lives, break hearts, and leave families grieving. I wish every person who has ever thought about giving up could see their incredible worth before the darkness tried to convince them otherwise.

But since this day is here, I won’t stay silent. Silence doesn’t save lives, truth and love do.

đź©· A Personal Story from Our Journey

When my daughter Chloe was in the middle of her hardest season, I remember sitting on the floor of her room, both of us in tears. She was overwhelmed by her own thoughts, exhausted by anxiety and depression, and convinced she was too much, too broken, too much of a burden.

As her mom, it shattered me. I’m a nurse practitioner with years of medical experience, yet nothing prepared me for the helplessness of watching my own child believe lies about her worth. I prayed desperate prayers, begging God to break through the silence.

In those moments, I had to remind her (and myself) of what was true: She is not a burden. She is not alone. Her life matters. Even when her feelings screamed otherwise, God’s Word whispered hope into the darkness.

But here’s what I’ve learned in the fire of those nights: even when you can’t feel Him, God is near. His Word promises,

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:18)

And Jesus Himself extends this invitation:

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

God never asked us to carry these battles alone. He simply asks us to come to Him.

đź©· For the Moms Who Have Lost a Child

I also need to pause here for the moms in my circle, and the friends I love, who have experienced the devastating loss of a child to suicide. There are no words big enough for that kind of grief. If that’s your story, please hear this: your child’s life still matters, their story still matters, and you are not to blame.

The enemy loves to twist grief into shame, but the truth is this, your child was deeply loved, and you are still deeply loved. God holds every tear, every memory, and every ounce of pain you carry. I see you. I honor your strength. And I am standing with you, mom to mom.

Your Story Isn’t Finished

Friend, your story isn’t over. Chloe’s story wasn’t over either, God was still writing, even in the chapters I desperately wished we could skip. And He’s still writing yours. There are people who need you. There are lives only you can touch.

If today feels too heavy, please don’t carry it alone. Reaching out isn’t weakness. It’s courage. Whether it’s a trusted friend, a pastor, a counselor, or the 988 Lifeline, your voice matters and your pain deserves to be heard.

🔥 So let me say this as clearly as I can: 🔥
🤍 You are not a burden.
🤍 You are not alone.
🤍 You are loved.
🤍 You have a God-given purpose.

🦋 Warrior Mom Truth

On this World Suicide Prevention Day, I’m standing here as a mom who has walked the hard road with her child, and as a friend to moms who’ve faced unthinkable loss, saying to you, there is hope. There is purpose. There is life beyond the pain.

Your story is still being written and it’s worth reading.

If you or someone you love is struggling, please call 988. And share this with someone who needs the reminder today, you never know whose life it could save.

With lots of love,
